Cabell Assessment Information
On Wednesday, October 18th, 10th and 11th graders will be taking the PSAT National Merit State Assessment. All students will report to school as normal. Instruction will continue for those not testing. If your child is in 10th or 11th grade, please be sure to charge your MacBook because the assessment will be administered digitally.
Cabell County Schools uses a variety of assessments to gather relevant data about student performance and progress to make instructional decisions that guide the learning process. Assessment is embedded in learning. It is tightly interconnected with curriculum and instruction. As students and teachers work towards the achievement of curriculum outcomes, assessment plays a constant role in informing instruction, guiding the student's next steps, and checking progress and achievement.
