Cell Policy

Summary

Personal student communication devices (cell phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, smartglasses, earbuds, etc.) must be stored away on silent during the school day. Exceptions will be made for emergencies, documented medical needs, and IEPs, as appropriate.

Students may keep these devices powered on and with them throughout the school day, but the devices must not be seen, heard, or used. Student communication devices are welcome before and after school, during extracurricular events, or on the bus. Students who refuse to follow these guidelines may have their devices confiscated to be returned to their families at the end of the day, face disciplinary measures like detention or suspension, and/or lose the privilege of having devices on campus at all.

We get it. Our kids are students here too. In the case of an emergency, your child will be able to use their device to contact you.

If you need your child during the school day, please call the front office.

How can families help?
Encourage your child to use devices appropriately during school or keep them at home.

For specific questions about your school’s implementation, please contact the principal.
