Cabell Midland's Actors Show Great Chemistry on Stage
The actors showed great chemistry on stage with physicality rivaling that of the animated original. The vocal performances of the cast went above and beyond expectations held at the beginning of the rehearsal process. The cast closely adhered to the writing of Jennifer Lee and the composition of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, while still managing to make the play entirely their own. In the end, everything came together as one of the department’s best and highest grossing plays to date.

Families Enjoy Batman Book Bingo Thursday at Central City Elementary
Local children’s author John Buckland, also known as WV Batman, visited Central City Elementary Thursday, February 17 to share his message of kindness and anti-bullying with students and families. Buckland read his book “Broken Toy Hero,” a story about toys that overcome adversity and learn how to be good friends.

Cabell celebrates student artist with “A Night on 5th” Superintendent’s Art Walk Cabell County Schools hosted the Superintendent’s Art Walk Event from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Central Office Tonight, “A Night on 5th” featured student artwork from the following schools: Milton Middle School Milton Elementary School Salt Rock Elementary School Ona Elementary School Culloden Elementary School Cabell Virtual Learning Academy Refreshments were served by Cabell Midland High School’s ProStart Culinary Arts program, and entertainment was provided by the Cabell Midland High School Strings Quartet Family & Community Engagement Facilitator, Dr. Ashley Stephens encourages families to enjoy art in the home. “Appreciating art together can be a wonderful experience for families,” said Stephens. “You don’t have to wait for a trip to the museum to do it.”
