As a result of instruction missed due to inclement weather, the Board modified the school calendar at the last board meeting.
To date, Cabell County Schools has utilized:
Five Non-Traditional Instructional Days, the maximum number of NTIDs permitted by the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE): Dec 2, Dec 15, Jan 28, Jan 29, Jan 30
Seven Code Red or Blue Days: Dec 9, Dec 12, Jan 26, Jan 27, Feb 4, Feb 6, Feb 23
Based upon these cancellations, five days of instruction will need to be scheduled. Barring any additional missed instruction, the calendar will be adjusted as follows:
May 28 Faculty Senate/Early Release Day will now be a regular full instructional day
May 29 OSE will now be an instructional dayJune 1 OSE will now be an instructional day
June 2 OSE will now be an instructional day
June 3 Teacher Prep day will now be an instructional day
June 4 will now be a Faculty Senate and a two-hour early release instructional day and students’ last day
June 5 will be a Teacher Prep day
