January Teacher of the Month 2026

We are proud to recognize Mr. Dustin Muncy, our December Teacher of the Month! Mr. Muncy leads a calm, engaging, and well-structured second-grade classroom where students feel supported, focused, and motivated to learn. His quiet, steady leadership creates an environment where expectations are clear, and students consistently rise to meet them. His quick thinking and response skills helped a choking student by administering the Heimlich Maneuver last month!

Mr. Muncy’s instructional practices consistently result in strong academic growth, with his students making excellent gains in both reading and math. His ability to balance high expectations with thoughtful, engaging instruction helps ensure student success.

Beyond his classroom, Mr. Muncy goes above and beyond by volunteering for extra duties, including serving on the Social Studies Curriculum Adoption committee. He is also continuing his own professional growth by working toward his master’s degree in leadership, demonstrating his commitment to both students and the future of education.

Students respect and look up to Mr. Muncy, and his positive influence is felt throughout our school community. We are grateful for his dedication, professionalism, and the strong example he sets every day.

👏 Congratulations, Mr. Muncy! Thank you for all you do for our students and school.
