A paper is coming home today that you need to fill out regarding which music class your scholar wants to take in middle school. Please fill out the paper and return to school by May 8. I have attached a description of the courses offered.

Tomorrow, April 10 is hat day (Pay $1 and wear a hat all day. Proceeds go to the PTA for student rewards), popcorn day (Pay $1 and get a bag of popcorn), and Marco will be on campus. Wear Marshall and/or green for our special visitor!

Reminder: Our school level literature fair is on March 20th! All projects must be at school and set up by 8:15am to ensure everyone’s is accounted for and to go over guidelines for our judges. We are starting to fundraise so we can keep our Accelerated Reading (AR) program for next year. The cost for the program is about $3,000. In an effort to raise money, will be selling popcorn every other Friday for $1. Our first popcorn day will be tomorrow, February 20. We will always take extra donations to go to this great cause! 🍿

Two reminders:
1. The iReady MOY2 (middle of year 2) diagnostic for reading and math opens up Monday, February 16. Please encourage your scholar to try his/her best and take his/her time on the assessments. We are all so excited to see the growth from the last diagnostic.
2. If your scholar has Mrs. Petrie for art, please make sure he/she turns in the artwork for the fundraiser next week. Mrs. Petrie will be mailing that in at the end of the week (February 20). If you have any questions about this fundraiser, please reach out to Mrs. Petrie at rfloyd@k12.wv.us
