Virtual Academy's Jade Gun Seeks to Empower Women with Original Jewelry

Jade Gun is a full-time 11th grade student attending the Cabell Virtual Learning Academy. Jade designs and handmakes jewelry using a variety of different beads and wires. Her jewelry includes different styles and designs of necklaces, rings, anklets, bracelets, and earrings.

Jade says she started making jewelry as a hobby in 2018, then started selling her jewelry in 2021. She first became a vendor at the Village Antique Mall, but then quickly found her way into Sloane Square Gallery.

"The goal of my jewelry is to enhance and bring empowerment to the woman who is wearing my jewelry," says Jade. "This is because I feel that every woman is unique and therefore should have unique and beautiful jewelry, which is also why I take custom orders when I can."

Jade says one of her major accomplishments is she had one of my rings purchased and used as a wedding ring. She currently has plans to take her jewelry sales online, so she can reach as many women as possible.

You can see Jade's jewelry for yourself as she takes part in a maker's fair as part of the Huntington Central City Antique District's Earth Day celebration, "Planet Waves," Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The maker's fair will take place beside the Village Antique Mall.
