The Cabell Midland High School Marching Knights were honored at the 2023 West Virginia Department of Education Arts Alive presentation. The band performed their 2022-2023 1st Place competition show "Shattered."

Band member JR Ash was also selected to be an Arts Alive feature performer. He played a marimba solo entitled "Yellow After the Rain."
