Cabell County Teachers Honored by West Virginia Reading Association at Annual Conference

Several Cabell County teachers and staff were recognized for their exceptional work within the field of literacy at the WVRA’s annual conference in October.

Cabell County Schools is proud to announce three runners-up for the Eddie C. Kennedy Award for certified K-12 teachers across the curriculum that have made outstanding contributions to helping students become proficient readers and motivating them to become lifelong learners:

Wanda Bailey, Reading Specialist at Central City Elementary

Whitney Stead, Kindergarten Teacher at Village of Barboursville Elementary

We are also proud of our two runners-up for the Madge McDaniels Award for educators or administrators who have made outstanding contributions to the field of literacy:
