From the Board Room to the classroom our focus is on:
The health, well-being and academic progress of our students
The health and well-being of our staff
While the three instructional models families can choose for back to school this fall will provide flexibility, it is important to note that, due to the volatility of COVID-19 spread, guidelines from health officials, requirements from state-level agencies and executive orders from the governor, the timeliness of when each of these options will fully be available is uncertain.
As such, Cabell County Schools has developed a three-phased approach to safely reopening our schools. The three phases of safely reopening schools are as follows:
Phase 1: All students will engage in instruction via Virtual School Instruction or Remote Learning
Phase 2: All students will engage in instruction via Virtual School Instruction or Blended Learning (2 days of at school learning with 3 days of remote instruction at home)
Phase 3: All students will engage in instruction via Virtual School Instruction, Blended Learning (2 days of at school learning with 3 days of remote instruction at home), or five (5) days of traditional instruction at school.
We will be utilizing this barometer on our webpage to determine where we are as a district as we get closer to the beginning of the semester:
