Cabell Midland Patient Care Specialists hosting “Friends and Family Phlebotomy Nights”

Cabell Midland's Health Science and Wellness Academy' s Therapeutic Services Program Patient Care Specialists (PCS) are hosting “Friends and Family Phlebotomy Nights” Monday, February 10, 2020, Monday, February 24, 2020 and Monday, March 2, 2020 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the school in Room G-253, located on the second floor.

The students have been working diligently for several months, practicing their skills on students and staff at the school.  Students are hosting these evenings for the opportunity to practice venipuncture skills under the supervision of their instructor Mrs. Amy Ward and Mr. Bill Bolen of St, Mary’s Medical Center.  The program is seeking volunteers who are willing and able to attend one of the three "Friends and Family Nights", so they can obtain the required number of "sticks" needed to sit for the Phlebotomy Certification Exam April 18, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

No appointment is necessary to participate.  Participants under the age of 18 will need a signed liability form, by a parent/guardian.  If you are under 21, please bring your identification.

For more information, please contact Amy Ward, Patient Care Technician Instructor, by calling (304) 743-7400 Extension 7525, or by email at [email protected]
