Cabell Names Meghan Salter Teacher of the Year

Earlier this afternoon, as part of a live webcast, Cabell County Schools announced Meghan Salter, a Gifted teacher at Martha Elementary, is the district’s 2021 Teacher of the Year.

Salter has been featured in the district’s "Cabell Connection" videos for organizing the multi-school "Drone Olympics". She has also received recognition from the Board of Education for being selected as a "Woman to Watch in Unmanned Aerial Systems" by an international drone industry group. 1.      Courtney Arnold – Art, Southside Elementary School
2.      Susan Porter – Kindergarten, Highlawn Elementary School
3.      Rhonda Wood – Science, Crossroads Academy
4.      Trena Wise – Math, Cabell Midland High School
