About West Junior
In 1911, West Junior School was constructed.
In 1939, the building had its 1st addition.
In 1949, the building had its 2nd addition.
In 1958, the building had its 3rd addition.
In 1964, the building had its last addition.
The school was consolidated in 2007. The West Middle students and the Cammack Middle students will in the new school building named “Huntington Middle”.

West Jr. High located at 10th Street and Jefferson Avenue, Huntington, WV, taught grades 7-9.
In 1955-56 there were 738 students.
1957-58 there were 657 students.
In 1960-61 there were 759 students.
