NTID Instructions

Elementary School Students
In the event of a Non-Traditional Instructional Day (NTID), students will still have an assignment to complete that consists of ELA, Math, and Related Arts.  Each student can assess the assignment either on Schoology or many elementary teachers will print the packets off for the students.

Here are the steps to retrieve the assignment:

  1. Click on Schoology
  2. Under the main Updates, the files will be linked for elementary schools.
  3. Pick the document that matches your child’s grade level. (example 5th grade student would pick NTID Snow Day 1 Fifth Grade)
We understand that not all students have equitable access to technology outside of school. Because of this, students will have 10 days after the NTID to complete and submit their work to their teachers.

Teachers will be available via email or phone to assist students with their work for that day.

Middle School Students
All Cabell County Middle School students can retrieve NTID assignments by accessing Schoology.  Here are the steps to retrieve your students assignments:
  1. Login to Schoology
  2. Go to each individual course and look or a folder titled NTID
  3. Retrieve the required information
All teacher are required to have assignments posted to their classroom on Schoology by 10:00 AM on the morning of the NTID.

Remember, students have ten days after each NTID to submit the assignments corresponding to those days. This is to ensure that all of our students are able to access the technology necessary to complete these assignments during school time.
If you have further questions, please contact the school for further information.

High School Students
In the event of a Non-Traditional Instructional Day (NTID), students will still have assignments to complete for each of their classes. On an NTID, our students will be able to access their assignments on their teachers' Schoology pages. Teachers will post the assignments by 10 AM on the NTID. It would be in the students' best interest to complete the work that day, but we understand that not all students have equitable access to technology outside of school. Because of this, students will have ten days after the NTID to complete and submit their work to their teachers.

As the NTID is instructional, students are not required to make up the day at the end of the school year. Teachers will be available all day during the NTID via email or Schoology to assist students with their work for the day.
