Strategic Planning

working together handsThe Division of Achievement and Innovation is charged with gathering stakeholders to develop a five-year district strategic plan.

In September 2016, teachers, administrators, parents, students and community and business leaders will meet at the St. Mary's Education Center to the districts mission and core beliefs, examine district goals and data, and formulate the action steps that comprise the foundation of the plan.The purpose of the strategic plan is to clearly articulate the district’s beliefs, mission and goals to assure the district’s energy and resources are focused on improving outcomes for all students.

Goal 1:
IMPROVING TEACHING AND LEARNING: All students will be engaged in a rigorous and relevant curriculum which will result in fifty percent of students being proficient in reading and math by May 2016 to make adequate yearly progress to meet the 75% proficiency rate in 2020.

Goal 2:
IMPROVING ORGANIZATION EFFECTIVENESS: Promote a district climate to develop students who are college and career ready by developing strong instructional leaders to increase the graduation rate four points each year through 2020.

Goal 3: IMPROVING SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS: All students will have the necessary supportive relationships needed to maximize school success and reduce the dropout rate to less than one percent by 2018.

Goal 4: IMPROVING STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: Strengthen partnerships with the parents, businesses, military, local community, district staff, and post-secondary schools to ensure that one hundred percent of students are college and career ready by 2020.
