Discrimination Prohibited

The Cabell County Board of Education and Cabell County Schools do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, sex (including transgender status, change of sex or gender identity), pregnancy, age, blindness, disability, veteran status, military status, genetic information, socioeconomic status, physical appearance, sexual orientation, mental/physical/developmental/sensory disability or any other characteristic protected by law in employment or in the administration of any of its educational programs and activities.

Further, Cabell County Schools does not tolerate acts of discrimination or harassment based on any of the characteristics listed above.

  • Retaliation against individuals who make complaints about discrimination, or participate in the investigation of such complaints, is prohibited;

  • Students who believe that they have been subjected to discrimination or harassment are to report the harassment to the Principal;

  • Cabell County Schools will conduct a prompt investigation

  • Students and parents may report allegations of harassment to the Building Principal or to the Anti-Harassment Compliance Officers for Cabell County Schools

  • Students found to have engaged in harassment or retaliation will be promptly disciplined including suspension or expulsion, if warranted

  • Students, parents, and District staff are encouraged to work together to prevent all forms of harassment.

Anti-Harassment/Discrimination Compliance Officer

The Board designates the following individual to serve as "Anti-Harassment Compliance Officer" (hereinafter referred to as the "CO") for the Cabell County School District.
